Henaskut to Brandy Nalla via Zangla

Henaskut to Brandy Nalla is a challenging trek which also focuses on the Monasteries, Monks, Villages and its people. Its highlight is Zanskar Region, its monasteries and the beautiful landscapes.

Tour Program
Day 01: Leh – Henaskut, 5-6hrs.
Drive to Henaskut, on the way visit one of the oldest monasteries of Ladakh at Lamayuru. Overnight Camp.

Day 02: Trek Hinaskut – Kanji Village (3800m), 4-5hrs.
Morning after breakfast walk towards Kanji village along the valley with a small river bank and a beautiful gorge. After noon explore the village. Overnight camp.

Day 03: Trek Kanji village – Kanji La base (4300m), 5-6 hrs.
Start with an easy walk along a river bank till sumdo. Turn to right side of the valley, from here easy ascends towards the base of Kanji-la. Today you could see yaks and wild animals on the way. Overnight camp.

Day 04: Trek Kanji base – via Kanji La Pass (5150m)
Morning after breakfast walk along the valley. Take a left turn from where there is a quite steep walk and after 500mtrs it’s an easy ascend towards Kanji-La pass. From the pass you will get a very beautiful view of Nun Kun Peaks & other Ranges of Himalaya.After sometime descend back to sumdo. Overnight camp.

Day 05: Trek Sumdo – via Pikdongla – Dipling village (5020m)
Morning after the breakfast cross the river & walk on the right side of valley for 3hrs. From there turn to Marpo-La pass, from where you can see Dipling valley. A long walk down will take you to Dipling. A nice camping site near a river stream. Overnight camp.

Day 06: Trek Dipling village – Sumdo
Morning after breakfast explore the isolated village & its gonpa. After walking for an hour you will have to cross no. of river crossings till sumdo(level of water in Sept. is low). Overnight camp.

Day 07: Trek Sumdo – Marpola (4750m)- Lingshed village
On this day walk along the valley till there is a gradual path up along the river stream. There is a good chance to spot many wild animals like Blue sheep, Ibex, Barel, etc. Overnight camp.

Day 08: Trek Lingshed – Hanumaa Base
Morning after breakfast visit Lingshed Monastery which is famous for its old paintings. Explore the village and its school. Walk to Hanamula base. Overnight camp.

Day 09: Trek Hanumala base – via Hanumala pass (4845m) to Zangchen
. Today you will have to walk on a quite steep path. It will take 2hrs to reach the pass. From the pass go descend down to the valley crossing a river stream and nice landscapes. Overnight camp.

Day 10: Trek Zangchen – via Parfila Pass (3900m) Hanamul village
morning quite ascent walk to the pass go down to towards to Hanamil from pass just short walk see a zanskar river. It is very famous for winter ice trek. O/n Hanmil villagesit is first villages of zanskar camp 4/5 hrs

Day 11: Trek Hanamil to Zangla village, 5-6 hrs
Today its an easy walk along zanskar river on the way visit Pidmo village. Zangla is known for its Royal palace in which the family still resides. Visit the Palace and Camp overnight.

Day 12: Trek Zangla villages – Tsazar Sumdo
In the morning walk along stream river till zangla sumdo. From sumdo take right and walk along the sides of valley. Overnight Camp.

Day 13: Trek Tsazar Sumdo – Konglumtse
Today there will be many small river crossings and an easy ascending walks. On the way good chance to spot Yak. Overnight camp.

Day 14: Trek Konglumtse Via Niri la – Niri Doksha (4220m)
Beautiful view of mountain Range of zanskar. Valley quite green place. Which famous for keeping Yak and other animals.local from zangla villages as well Shade com,e with animals for all summer pustre. Overnight camp.

Day 15: Trek Niri Doksha via Lari la to Mitsik
This day quite easy walk along stream river and small pass. From the pass go down to towards shade Nalla. Overnight camp.

Day 16: Trek Mitsik via Rordang la to Shade village
Morning After breakfast walk towards the Rordangla pass.It is quite easy path to reach the pass. From the pass always walk do gown till to shade village. Explore the villages.walk to Thangtak gonpa.it nice camp near river side camp.

Day 17: Trek Thanthak – Phukthal Monastery
Morning trek to Phukthal gonpa which is one of most famous gonpas in Ladakh region. As well as known for the beautiful scenario. Overnight Stay in gonpa House

Day 18: Trek Phukthal Monastery – Thanthak
In the morning walk back for some time you will reach Thanthak. Overnight camp.

Day 19: Trek Thanthak via Nyalo kuntsela (4430m) via Gothurstatarla (4620m) to Hormotse
Today you have to walk on an ascending path to reach the first pass. From this pass its easy path to reach the next pass. In between there is a nice lake view.From pass ascend down keeping on right side till you reach the camp. On the other side of the river bank is the Shun village. Overnight camp.

Day 20: Trek Homotse – Sathak village
This day we cross one river which is called tijeep river. The source of this river is on Tibet Border. Overnight camp.

Day 21: Trek Sathak village – Tsokmik
Its an easy walk.there is another valley is joining. Which going to Hemis.we walk some valley Brandy Nalla. Over night camp.

Day 22: Brandy Nalla – Manali, 6-7hrs Drive
Drive from Brandy Nalla to Manali. Overnight Hotel in Manali.
