Our Story

From a Single Rope
To a Legacy

Founded in 2006, Altitude Adventure is built on a deep passion for the mountains and a commitment to sharing the true spirit of the Himalayas.

Since its inception, the company has been officially registered with the Tourism Department and has steadily grown into a trusted name in adventure travel across the region. Over the years, Altitude Adventure has successfully organized a wide range of expeditions, including mountaineering, trekking, motorbiking tours, wildlife explorations, and other high-altitude adventure activities across Ladakh. What truly sets the company apart is its strong local foundation. As a locally based team, we possess an in-depth understanding of Ladakh’s terrain, weather, hidden routes, and lesser-known adventure spots—knowledge that only comes from years of lived experience in the region.

Affiliated with the Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF), Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI), and Ladakh Tourism Department.

Our team includes experienced local guides, and for mountaineering expeditions, we collaborate with highly skilled Nepali Sherpas, known worldwide for their expertise in high-altitude climbing. Driven by exploration, we have not only followed established routes but also discovered and developed new trekking paths and remote adventure experiences across Ladakh.

One of our proudest achievements is being the first to summit Chakula Peak (6,450m), a previously unclimbed peak in Ladakh.

Safety and responsibility are at the core of everything we do. We actively conduct first aid and basic rescue training programs for locals and have been involved in multiple rescue operations in challenging terrains. We strongly believe in eco-friendly tourism—promoting sustainable travel practices, supporting conservation efforts, and respecting the fragile wildlife and ecosystem of Ladakh.

We don’t just organize expeditions—we create authentic, safe, and meaningful mountain experiences rooted in local knowledge and a true love for adventure.
