Cancellation Policy

Please read our cancellation policy carefully before confirming your booking.

At Altitude Adventure, a significant amount of planning, permits, transportation, accommodation and staff arrangements are made well in advance for every trek, expedition and motorbike tour. Therefore, the following cancellation policy applies to all bookings.


Cancellation by Guest

If you wish to cancel your booking, you must inform us in writing by email or WhatsApp. The cancellation date will be considered from the day we receive your written cancellation request.

Trekking Programmes
  • More than 60 days before departure: 5% of the total trip cost will be charged.
  • 45 to 60 days before departure: 15% of the total trip cost will be charged.
  • 30 to 44 days before departure: 35% of the total trip cost will be charged.
  • 15 to 29 days before departure: 50% of the total trip cost will be charged.
  • Less than 7 days before departure: No refund will be provided.
Mountaineering Expeditions

Due to permit fees, logistics arrangements and advance operational expenses:

  • More than 90 days before departure: 5% of the total expedition cost will be charged.
  • 60 to 89 days before departure: 30% of the total expedition cost will be charged.
  • 30 to 59 days before departure: 50% of the total expedition cost will be charged.
  • Less than 30 days before departure: 75% refund will be provided.
  • Less than 15 days before departure: No refund will be provided.

Cancellation by Altitude Adventure

Altitude Adventure reserves the right to cancel any trip due to:

  • Extreme weather conditions
  • Natural disasters
  • Road closures
  • Government restrictions
  • Political unrest
  • Safety concerns
  • Insufficient number of participants
  • Any situation beyond our control

In such cases, guests may choose one of the following options:

  • Transfer the booking to another available departure date.
  • Use the amount paid as credit for a future trip.
  • Receive a refund after deducting any non-refundable expenses already incurred, such as permits, hotel bookings, transportation and government fees.

No Refund Policy

No refund will be given for:

  • Late arrival for the trip.
  • Early departure from the programme.
  • Voluntary withdrawal during the trek or expedition.
  • Unused services included in the itinerary.
  • Failure to obtain required travel documents.
  • Flight delays, cancellations or missed connections.
  • Illness or injury during the trip.

Refund Processing

  • Approved refunds will normally be processed within 15 to 30 working days.
  • Bank charges, transaction fees and currency conversion charges, if any, will be deducted from the refund amount.

Important Note

We strongly recommend that all participants purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, medical expenses, emergency evacuation and personal belongings.
