Altitude Adventure was established by Mr. Qayoom, who has around 14 years of guiding experience in the Himalayas.

During his guiding career, he has worked in different Himalayan regions and gained practical experience in high-altitude trekking, mountaineering, mountain routes, snow conditions, camping and expedition work.

His professional training includes Basic Mountaineering Course (BMC), Advanced Mountaineering Course (AMC), Method of Instruction (MOI) and Search & Rescue (SNR) training from recognized mountaineering institutes including Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIM) and Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI).

After years of working and learning in the mountains, Mr. Qayoom established Altitude Adventure with the aim of providing professional and locally based mountaineering, trekking and adventure services from Ladakh.

Our journey in mountaineering goes back to 1994.

Over these years, Altitude Adventure has been involved in many successful mountain expeditions, trekking programs, adventure activities and high-altitude journeys.

One example is Chakula Kangri in Ladakh. Altitude Adventure organized the expedition that resulted in the first official ascent of this previously unclimbed peak on 25 August 2024, with climber Shekhar Bordoloi. The expedition was conducted after obtaining the necessary permit from the Indian Mountaineering Foundation.
